As y’all know, I have been playing guitar and singing in the LP4 for well over 20 years now. In that time, we have done 9 full length studio albums along with many singles and appearances on compilations, we’ve made several crazy videos, and we have played awesome festivals such as Terrastock, Psych Fest, SXSW, FPSF and Madness on Main. It has been a great ride, but it’s time for me to move on to new musical projects.
I want to thank the fans of the band and all our friends, our families and supporters for sticking with us. We’ve done weird stuff, loud stuff, cool stuff, lame stuff but it’s always been about music and having a good time. I am lucky to have been part of it for so long.
Our last show with this lineup will be on Saturday, January 28 2017, at Rudyard’s Pub – who deserve a special thank-you as our long time home base and favorite venue to play in Houston.
The LP4 has always been a many-headed hydra, and they will continue on in a new form, maybe with a new name. Maybe even with new haircuts. Stay tuned to see what they have in store.
